Healthy LifestyleCosts for introducing new technology and medical treatment are escalating, and insurance schemes are encountering difficulties, in many countries. At the same time, other issues and perspectives are on the horizon. There are grappling concerns that inflict serious health problems on a growing number of people, even in the wealthiest of societies, and which tend to cause damage at an increasingly early age. Challenges of this kind, which are partly new to our societies, tend to blend with a range of “old” sources of health issues that have been around for long, but which have resulted in worsening outcomes as consumption opportunities evolved. Yet, they continue to go largely unheralded. We are referring to the expanding range of: lifestyle related, behaviourally induced, health issues.
